Gregory "Greg" L. Griffith

Gregory Leigh Griffith, 70, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2021. He was born on September 15, 1951 to Garland Leon Griffith and Mary Alice (Fausett) Herron in Moline, Illinois. Greg attended Muskogee Public Schools and Muskogee High School. Gregs friends nicknamed him “Rabbit” during his high school years. He married the love of his life, Janet Marie Morris, on November 11, 1977 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. They shared just shy of 44 years of marriage, love, family and many memories together. Greg worked in heating and air for over 20 years. In 2001 he was hired as Plant Mechanic for MRMC until his retirement in 2018. Greg loved riding motorcycles, music, the outdoors and playing guitar with his grandson Chandler. He liked making jerky with the deer meat his son would bring him. Greg enjoyed keeping a garden and taking his dog benny on walks, who was like one of his kids. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time and annoying them every chance he could. Greg will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Herron and Garland Griffith, brother Leon Griffith; and his step-father, Kenneth Herron. Greg is survived by his loving wife, Janet of the home; son, Tracy Griffith and wife Alisha of Boise City, OK; daughters, Amber Griffith and Tara Terrell and husband Shane both of Muskogee, OK; grandchildren, Avery Griffith, Keaton Griffith, Kennedy Terrell and Chandler Terrell; sisters, Jenny Corvins and Sheila Herron; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members. A celebration of Greg’s life will be 11AM, Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Donnie Echols officiating. Interment will follow at Agnew Cemetery with Chandler Terrell, Shane Terrell, Kennedy Terrell, Dee Cookson, Ricky Johnson, Nathan Roberts and Tommy Roberts serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Tracy Griffith, Benny Griffith, Shannon Shearrer and Gary Delay.
