Johnny Clive Miles

August 30, 1969 - January 27, 2022

Johnny Miles, born August 30, 1969, went to heaven on January 27, 2022 at the age of 52. He was born in Paris, Texas to Sheryl Helms and Johnny Miles. He grew up in the Paris, Texas area. He joined the job corps shortly after he graduated from high school. He was proud to serve in the United States Navy from 1994-1996. He loved the water, and he loved to travel around the world. He enjoyed the local cuisine everywhere he went. In 2000, he joined the Department of Corrections. He split his career between Jess Dunn Correctional Center and Oklahoma State Penitentiary, where he was employed until he went to be with the Lord. He developed many meaningful friendships there, and felt like his brothers and sisters in uniform were truly a part of his family. In 2013, he married his best friend, Keli and in 2016, he graduated from Connors State College. In his time off, he enjoyed traveling, playing pool, listening to music, going to concerts and spending time with his wife and children at amusement parks around the country. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren and enjoyed playing with them while they explored the world around them. Johnny is preceded in death by his mother, Sheryl Helms, and his sister, Connie Douglas. He leaves behind his wife and best friend, Keli, his daughters, Jessica Kline of Corpus Christi, TX, Ashley Mayle and husband Thomas of Albuquerque, NM. Britney Griggs of Norman, Brianna Leebrick of Muskogee, and daughter, Elizabeth, and sons, Joseph and Tristan Miles of the home, and their mother Nickie Decker, his grandchildren, Lola and Damon Griggs, Karsyn Gronquist, and Priscilla Belvin and bonus grandchild, Abigayle Tucker, his father, Johnny and step mother Linda, sisters, Theresa Bischoff, Shanta Miles, Kathryn Miles, and brother Daniel Miles, mother and father in law, Hershel and Theresa Mayle, Brother in laws, Frederick Mayle and wife Stacey and Brian Mayle, many nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. A family conducted celebration of his life will be held February 5, 2022 at 3 p.m. at Central Baptist Church, 624 East Side Blvd. Muskogee.
