Kevin Dale Hammons

March 24, 1966 - December 11, 2021

Kevin Dale Hammons, 55, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, December 11, 2021. He was born March 24, 1966 in McAlester, Oklahoma to Kenneth and Gayle (Dunn) Hammons. He attended public schools and graduated from Indianola High School with the class of 1984 and furthered in education at NSU in Tahlequah receiving his bachelor's degree. Kevin was a 20-year veteran of the Muskogee Police Department where he obtained the rank of Lieutenant. He will always be remembered for his love of his family and helping his community. If you knew Kevin, you knew he enjoyed riding motorcycles and his saying, “Pigs basketball and Jesus”. Kevin will be dearly missed by his family, community, friends, and his fellow officers. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Gayle Hammons; father-in-law, Alton Allred Sr. Kevin is survived by his wife, Cynthia; son, Ryan, both of the home; son, Kyle and wife Emily of OKC; daughter, Hannah McCoy and husband Tyler of McAlester, OK; grandchildren, William, Noah, Lincoln, and Kennedy; sister, Gina Garrett and husband Kip of Morehead, KY; nephews, Zachary, Nathan, Justin; mother-in-law, Sue Allred; brother-in-law, Alton Allred Jr and wife Tracy; nephew, Landon Allred, all of Stigler; his best friend and Brother-in-Blue, Dave Lyons and wife Linda; honorary niece, Allee; along with numerous other family members and friends.
