Margie Marie Vanhook
June 18, 1960 - March 6, 2022
A beautiful baby girl named Margie Vanhook was born to Emma McNac and Oscar Vanhook on June 18, 1960. Margie grew up in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She attended Sadler Elementary School, Muskogee Public Schools and graduated from Muskogee Central High School. In 1980 Margie met the love of her life, Johnny Carter whom she spent 42 years with and loved dearly. She has three children, Rodney Payne, Mona Vanhook, and Sonny Carter. She was a homemaker for most of her life. Margie loved to go shopping, cooking, and her favorite color was yellow. She was a loving and caring person who loved with a pure heart. God called Margie home on March 6, 2022 after having complications with covid19. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar Vanhook and Emma McNac; sister, Angenette Bell-Simmons; brother, Oscar Vanhook Jr.; two nephews and one niece. She leaved behind four sisters, Juanita Vanhook, Carolyn Vanhook, Mollie Mayberry, and Tiffany Mayberry; three brothers, Anthony Mayberry (Rita) of Tulsa, OK, David Mayberry (Theda), and Monroe Mayberry of Sayre, OK; several grandchildren; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews to cherish her with good memories. We love you, but God loves you best and you are safe in his arms. To be absent with the body is to be present with the Lord!
