Marie Galluzzi

Marie Galluzzi, 95, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, January 29, 2022. She was born April 1, 1926 in Braggs, Oklahoma to Ray and Della (Alcorn) Hughart. She attended public schools and graduated from Stidham High School with the class of 1945. Marie married John Dominic Galluzzi on February 4, 1948 in Brockway, Pennsylvania. They shared many years of life, marriage and memories together. She was a long-time member of the of St. Joseph Catholic Church where she faithfully attended and served. It brought her much joy to deliver communion to homebound members. She worked as a Unit Clerk at Muskogee General Hospital and retired in 1976 after many years of service. Marie enjoyed doing ceramics and staying active by going to gymnastics, doing water aerobics and attending CURVES. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Della Hughart; husband, John; and sister, Juanita Pittman. Marie is survived by her sister, Ola DeCamp of Desert Hot Springs, CA; sons, Louis Galluzzi of Tulsa, John Galluzzi and wife Eva of Muskogee; grandchildren, Sarah Shimpi and husband Kumar, Jonathon Galluzzi and wife Judy; 5 great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends who will miss her dearly. Funeral mass for Marie will be 10AM, Friday, February 4, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Richard Cristler celebrant. Interment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery with John Bodenstein, James Pittman, Jonathon Galluzzi, Arthur Pittman, Kumar Shimpi and Steve Warren serving as pallbearers.
