Michael Thomas King

October 13, 1937 - February 3, 2022

Michael Thomas “Mike” King, passed away on February 3, 2022 at the age of 84. He was born on October 13, 1937 and was the only child of Bernard King and Marcella (Brucker) King. Mike graduated from Muskogee Central High School with the class of 1955. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and stepfather to Ronnie Jr. and Ryan West. Mike married Teresa Estep on August 27, 1976 in Stigler, Oklahoma. Even though he was an only child he had lots of family. He also had a special place in his heart for his fur babies, Ivy and Iris. He loved attending OU Sooners football games and NASCAR races. Mike loved Mark Martin and sometimes drove like he was on the racetrack. He enjoyed tinkering with cars in his spare time. One of his favorite things to do was having lunch with his son, David. Mike also enjoyed daily phone calls to talk politics, football and car races with David. Mike was the parts manager for many years at James Hodge Ford in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He retired at the age of 70. Mike met a lot of people while working there and made some lifelong friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Marcella King; stepson, Ryan West; brother-in-law, Robert Estep; mother-in-law, Edith Starr; and father-in-law, John Estep, Sr. Mike is survived by his loving wife, Teresa King; son, David King and wife Debbie of Tuttle, OK; daughter, Karen Guerrero and husband Albert of Oklahoma City, OK; stepson, Ronnie West, Jr.; grandchildren, Meghan Gray and husband Larry of Muskogee, OK, Beri Garrett and husband Jeremy of Muskogee, OK, Rachel Wilson of Okay, OK, Matthew Sewell of Oklahoma City, OK, Jordan Sewell and wife Nicole of Japan, Kourtney Guerrero of Norman, OK, Brooke West and Aspen of Muskogee, OK, and Justin West of McAlester, OK; great-grandbabies, Max and Lexi Gray, Spencer and Grayson Girty, Nevaeh West and Aaron Sewell; sisters-in-law, Jean Hammack and husband Larry of Okay, OK, Betty Snyder and husband Tommy of Muskogee, OK, and Jana Estep of Winter Haven, FL; brothers-in-law, John Estep, Jr. of Muskogee, OK, Gary Estep and wife Carol of Conyers, GA, and Toby Starr and wife Gloria of Coweta, OK; and many other family members and friends. A celebration of Mike’s life will be 2PM, Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Dewayne Estep officiating.
