Rex Reeves

Rex Reeves went to be with the Lord his Savior on December 6, 2021 in Muskogee, OK. He was born on December 8, 1931 to Reginald Williams Reeves, Sr. and Ora Ethel (Weddell) Reeves in Muskogee, OK. Rex was a graduate from Muskogee Central High, class of 1951. He married his high school sweetheart, Sammye Irene Vernon whom he loved and cherished for 66 years. Rex worked in payroll for Brockway Glass where he retired from in 1990 after many years of service. Rex came to renewed faith and showed that faith with a gentle spirit. Rex was known “as the kindest man you could ever meet.” Rex was a quiet, humble and hardworking person. He loved to be a greeter at his church as he never met a stranger. Rex loved golfing. He was a member of 6 Hole In Ones, Southeast Baptist Church, Muskogee Golf Club for 50 years, Trinity Lodge No. 502, Scottish Rite of Free Masonry, Bedouin Shriners and Past Patron Hope Chapter No. 401 Eastern Star. Rex is survived by his sister, Patti Snyder of Sebring, Fl; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends; special friends, Bill and Shirley Benham and Greg and Debbie Adkins; longtime friend, Carole Elliott. Graveside service will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday, December 10, 2021 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Monty Baggett officiating.
