Richard Lee Miesner Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Richard Lee Miesner, 73, of Muskogee was born July 25, 1948 in Wagoner, OK to Otto and Edna (Trammel) Miesner and passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 3, 2022. Richard moved to Muskogee at a young age and attended AR Junior High School and Central High School. On July 9, 1968, he married Betty (Elaine) Clairday and to that union had three children. He worked several years for Brown’s Distributing as a truck driver delivering Coors beer products throughout the area. This is when he met the love of his life, Delores (Dee) Miesner whom he married on February 14, 1996. He also worked for Trucks For You and Graham Packaging, retiring in 2011. Richard enjoyed going camping and fishing at Spaniard Creek, watching old westerns and NASCAR races. He enjoyed making his rounds to the local beer joints drinking Keystone Light and socializing with his friends, many he had known for a lifetime. He was a man of few words but if you were his friend, he was a loyal one and your friend for life. He loved his family very much and also enjoyed listening to stories about his grandchildren’s activities and all of their accomplishments. He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; one brother, Ralph Miesner; three sisters, Joy Rogers, Shirley Peebles and Joann Reynolds; sister-in-law, Rose Miesner; nephew, Paul Acree; great-nephew, Jon King; and his father and mother-in-law, Gene and Delores Marple. He is survived by two daughters, Kristy Miesner of Ft. Gibson, Kim Cooper and husband Darran of Muskogee; stepdaughter, Jeanna Cunningham of the home; son, Ronald Miesner of Tahlequah; two stepsons, Jerry Jordan and his wife, Brenda and Ray Jordan, all of Muskogee; special nephew, Mike Miesner of Muskogee; ten grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and many lifelong friends. Services for Richard will be 2PM, Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be 8AM-9PM, Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Cornerstone Funeral Home.
