Sherrie Lynn DeWitt

Sherrie Lynn (Robuck) DeWitt, 74, of Muskogee, Oklahoma went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 15th, 2022. She was born on May 7th, 1947 to Ralph Leslie Robuck and Dorothy Irene (Bartholf) Robuck in Akron, Ohio. She graduated from Westlake High School with the Class of 1965 in Ohio. After graduating, Sherrie then went to Beautician School and then worked in a salon in the Terminal Tower in downtown Cleveland. Sherrie and her family moved to Oklahoma in 1969. Sherrie then went to Bible College in Oklahoma City. After Bible College she moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she worked as a Beautician. She then met and married the love of her life, Bernard (Bernie) Wesley DeWitt, on Oct. 1st, 1977. They moved to Oklahoma City where she helped her husband with his renovation business. They felt the calling of the Lord and moved to Iowa, to pastor a church together for several years. Sherrie and her husband moved back to Muskogee in 1989. And over the years she and her husband opened 3 restaurants before retiring. Sherrie had a strong love and devotion to serve the Lord. Sherrie played the saxophone and also played the piano for the Lord helping with Praise and Worship Services. Sherrie also loved Artwork and painting. Sherrie loved her family very much, and will always be remembered by the ones who knew and loved her. Sherrie was preceded in death by her Parents, Ralph and Dorothy Robuck, her Husband, Bernard (Bernie) DeWitt, and her Grandmothers, Ella C. (Joliffe) Bartholf, and Mildred B. (Vescelius) Robuck. Sherrie is survived by her son, David A. Robuck, of Boulder, CO, Sister, Faye (Robuck) Leon Guerrero and husband Rudy, of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Nephew David Shane Parris and wife Melissa of Glenpool, OK, Nieces Tanesha Shaye Parris and Tayla Kaye Parris, of Muskogee, Oklahoma. Great-nephew, Zachary Shane Parris of Tahlequah, OK, Great-nieces, Hailey Grace Parris and Alexis Mcclanahan both of Glenpool, Oklahoma. Cousins Joan Schug, of Naples, FL. Janet Dasher and husband Chris and family Jason and Christopher of Naples, FL. Terri Lynne Mercer and partner Frank Presto and family, Nicole and Samantha, of Vero Beach, FL. Jeff Robuck, of Waco, TX, and Scott Robuck and family, Ryan Robuck, and Kara (Robuck) Johnson of Boise, Idaho. And many other family members and friends. A celebration of Sherrie’s life will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, February 19th, 2022 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Larry Ford and Brenda SoKolis officiating.
