Winfred "Peg" Ezra Fulton Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Winfred ‘Peg’ Ezra Fulton, 95, of Oktaha, OK passed away on Saturday, May 28th, 2022. He was born on September 23rd, 1926 to Jesse Monroe and Opal (Hines) Fulton in Alanreed, TX. His dad nicknamed him Winnipeg and it was soon shortened to Peg. He and his older brother, Marlin, were raised around Alanreed, TX riding their goats, Whitey and Billy, all over the West Texas canyons. In 1938, they moved to Gladiola, NM where he helped his family farm and raise cattle and horses. He learned from his dad how to ride a horse, his love for cattle and the cowboy way of life. Peg passed this love on to the rest of his family as well. During World War II he enlisted in the US Navy at the age of 18 and was stationed in Norfolk, Virginia. He was always patriotic and loved his great country. He married Patsy Houston in Pep, NM on September 28th, 1949. They moved to the Sunny Slope area south of Keefeton, OK in 1952 where they ran a dairy, raised beef cattle and their children. In 1971, Peg and Pat became Papaw and Mamaw and their house was always full of love and good times. He was preceded by his parents, Monroe and Opal; brother, Marlin Fulton and infant brother, Little Fulton; numerous cousins, in-laws, and friends; and best friend, Chuck Jordan. He is survived by his wife, Patsy of 72 years; children, Rena Hill (Stan), Rudy Fulton (Terri Jo), Debbie Perdue (Don), and Tracy Fulton (Kimberley); grandchildren, Brandon Hill (Matt), Clint Hill (Renee), Lacey Brake (Travis), Tyler Fulton (Kari Beth), Olivia Fulton, Brittany Fulton, Sierra Brown (Tyler), Joseph Simmons, T.W. Fulton (Anita), and Traelon Fulton (Kailyn); great-grandchildren, Weston Hill (Heather), Levi Hill (Miss Jesse), Jesse Lee Hill, Morgan Brake, Mileigh Needham, Madilyn Fulton, Rachel Tidwell, Addison Brake, Rance Fulton, Kamryn Brake, Reba Corum, and Slate Fulton; great-great grandchildren, Hensley Hill and Ryett Hill; sisters-in-law, Nelda Fulton, Beverta Houston, and Belva Houston; friend, Billy Hogan; and numerous other family members and friends. A special ‘Thank You’ to Tammy Perkins and K.C. Alred for always giving him the BEST care and to all the staff at the Jack C Montgomery VA Hospital for your amazing care and your respect for Peg and his family. The last goodbyes are the hardest to say… So fly high cowboy, we will see you in Heaven… A celebration of Peg’s life will be 11AM, Saturday, June 4th, 2022 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Ward officiating. Interment will follow at Agnew Cemetery with grandsons and great grandsons serving as pallbearers.
