Billy Eric Jordan

Billy Eric Jordan was born September 18, 1946, in Moffett, OK to Steve and Billie Ruth Jordan. He was the 4th of Steve and Billie Ruth’s 11 children. Billy grew up in Muskogee, Oklahoma and graduated from Central High School with the Class of 1964. At 19 years old, he proudly enlisted in the U.S. Army and volunteered for Vietnam. Serving as a truck driver from 1965 to 1968, Billy completed his service and was honorably discharged at the rank of SP4. After returning home, Billy was blessed with two sons, Jimmy and Monte, whom he loved deeply and raised with care and pride. He worked for over 35 years at J&S Paper Company, and after retiring, he continued doing what he loved—driving trucks—for Winfield United. Billy never considered his time at Winfield a job because he truly enjoyed it. Family was everything to “Papa Bill.” He cherished his wife of 18 years, Randy, and together they shared countless adventures. Billy embraced Randy’s family as his own and was a constant source of love and laughter. He was actively involved in the lives of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, never missing an opportunity to tell them how proud he was of them. Known for his kind heart, generosity, and quick wit, Billy had a gift for humor—often making jokes and laughing at himself. Billy’s patriotism was undeniable. He loved his country deeply and carried that pride throughout his life. He is survived by his loving wife, Randy Lynn Jordan of the home; son Monte Jordan and wife Deborah “Dee” of Oklahoma City, OK; grandson 1st Lt Tanner Jordan of Spokane, WA; grandson Dakota Jordan and wife Charlee, great-granddaughter Elliott Jordan and great-grandson Archer Jordan of Midwest City, OK; son James “Jimmy” Jordan and wife Sherry of Cleburne, TX; grandson Brant Jordan of Mustang, OK; granddaughter Ashley Wasson of Lubbock, TX, and great-grandson Mark Wasson; sister Sherry Davis and husband Walter of Muskogee, OK; stepson Sean Taplin of Garland, TX; stepdaughter Kim Hofsiss and husband James of Summit Point, WV; and numerous nieces, nephews, step grandchildren and friends - including hundreds of Facebook friends he enjoyed connecting with in his later years. Billy also leaves behind his beloved dog, Soda Pop. Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Steve and Billie Ruth Jordan; brothers Raymond Rogers, Jerry Jordan, Monte Jordan, Danny Jordan, Ronnie Jordan, Alan “Beau” Geste Jordan Sr.; sisters Sue Jordan, Kathy Crain, and Vicki Strader; niece Tammy Rae Rogers; nephews Cory Alexander Davis and Alan Beau Geste Jordan Jr. Billy’s life was defined by love, laughter, and loyalty. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A celebration of life will be held at 10:30am, January 2, 2026 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel in Muskogee, OK with Rev. Donnie Echols officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at 12:30pm at the Ft. Gibson National Cemetery in Ft. Gibson, OK. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Billy’s honor may be made to The Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Chapter 39 of Midwest City, OK (www.DAV.org).
