Bob Hutson

Robert Joseph “Bob” Hutson, Sr., 70, of Muskogee, Oklahoma entered Heaven’s gates on Wednesday, May 5, 2021. He was born on August 14, 1950 to Babe Thomas Hutson and Pauline Bell (Anthis) Hutson-Ward in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Bob graduated from Muskogee Central High School with the class of 1969. He served in the United States Army Reserves and received an honorable discharge. Bob married the love of his life Royanne Brecheisen, on May 12, 1984 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. They shared 37 years of life, marriage and many happy memories together. Bob was a firefighter at Muskogee Fire Department for many years and retired as fire chief. He was currently working for Oklahoma Emergency Management. Bob was a faithful member of Muskogee First Baptist Church where he worked with the children’s choir, was a member of the adult choir, and sponsored many youth activities. Bob was a participant in many mission trips to Aldama, Mexico. He enjoyed morning coffee with his buddies at Andy’s. Bob also enjoyed raising cattle. He loved his family very much and enjoyed spending time with his family especially “PaPaw’s P’s”, his grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his mother, Pauline Ward; brother, John Hutson; son-in-law, Tod McBrien; and son, Johnny Cobb. He is survived by his loving wife, Royanne of the home; children, Amy McBrien of Muskogee, OK, Jill Renfro and husband Scott of Owasso, OK, and Robby Hutson and wife Katy of Muskogee, OK; grandchildren, Alexandria McBrien and fiancé Nick Luttrull, Isaac McBrien and Jessica Hollingshead, Emily McBrien, Sebastian Renfro, Sabrina Renfro, Bentley Hutson, Olivia Hutson, Maggie Hutson and AvaLynn Hutson; brothers, Larry Hutson and wife Gayle, Jeff Ward and wife Alison, and Royal Ward; step-dad, Roy Ward; Peggy Hutson, Jill Renfro’s mother; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. His family will greet friends 6PM-8PM, Monday, May 10, 2021 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel. A celebration of Bob’s life will be 10AM, Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Muskogee First Baptist Church with Rev. Eric Fletcher officiating. Interment will follow at Oktaha Cemetery with Robby Hutson, Isaac McBrien, Larry Hutson, Royal Ward, Jeff Ward and Nick Luttrull serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Scott Renfro, Lynn Jamison, Paul Porter, Steve Palladino, Buddy Capps, James Murr, Danny Tracy, John O’Rear, Chris Graddy, Kirby Kilgore, Chris Watson, Tyler Bean, and Robert Kelly.
