Carolyn K. Burrows “Gan Gan” Carolyn K. Burrows of Muskogee, Oklahoma entered Heaven’s gates early Tuesday morning, August 5, 2014, at the age of 86. She was born May 26, 1928 in Weleetka, Oklahoma to Rev. Bob Catlett and Arteen Dean Catlett. Carolyn was a devoted Christian, Spirit-Filled wife and mother. She invested much prayer, Bible reading, and wise counseling (preaching) to her family and friends. After retirement, she and her husband traveled for years serving the Lord in many capacities, including counselors at James Robison Association, TBN, appearing on 700 Club, Full Gospel Business Men’s Association, Teen Challenge, and being good Samaritans through life. “Gan Gan” was loved by many and best known for being full of fun and keeping everyone around her laughing with her natural ability to find humor in this life, even when the journey was challenging. She lived a great faith in a Mighty God. We are most grateful and blessed. Phil 4:8-9….Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Bob and Arteen Catlett; her husband, Grady Burrows; her son, Bob Burrows; and her sister, Sarah Morgan. She is survived by her three daughters, Wanda Humphrey, Linda Sizemore and husband, Gary, Peggy Griffiths and husband, Gary; grandchildren, Jill Smith and husband Sean, Shane Frix and wife Amy, Kandi Brown and husband Tom, Gary Griffiths and wife Kelli; great grandchildren, Hunter Smith, Colton Smith, Ashlyn Frix, Braden Frix, Haley Brown, Colt Brown, and Bryce Griffiths; sister, Peggy McClure and husband, Dick; brother, Hiram Catlett and wife Sally; many nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends. The family requests memorials be made to Muskogee First Assembly of God Children’s Building Fund, 3100 Gulick, Muskogee OK 74403. Celebration of life services for “Gan Gan” will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Steve Rose and Rev. Dick McClure officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery with Shane Frix, Braden Frix, Gary Sizemore, Colton Smith, Hunter Smith, Sean Smith, Gary Robert Griffiths, and Gary Griffiths serving as pallbearers.
