Charity Dawn Royse

Charity Dawn Royse, 47, of Muskogee, OK, passed away on July 29, 2026. Charity was born January 31, 1979 in Lawton, OK, the daughter of Michael Ray Pruet and Susan Diane Pruet (Dunlop). Charity received her Associates degree at Connors State College, and also completed the Radiologic Technology program at ICTC. She then went on to work as a Radiology Technician at JTK Imaging. Charity married Gregory Wilburn Royse Sr. on July 10, 1998 at Oldham Memorial Baptist Church. Greg and Charity met about 30 years ago and were married for almost 27 years. They grew their family quickly, welcoming Haley Nicole, Kayla Jane, Gregory Wilburn Jr. and Preston Colby, who have since blessed them with 11 beautiful grandchildren on earth, that loved them both dearly. She enjoyed shopping, specifically at the bin stores and garage sales, reading, hiking, weaving baskets and doing leather work, often spoiling friends and family with her shopping finds, handwoven baskets or handmade leatherwork. Charity cherished her time with family, but watching her children grow their families was what brought her the most joy. You could always count on Charity to be where her family was, from every celebration and family dinner to all the kids sporting events. Even though she was late to everything, there was never a doubt she would show up. She was someone you could call on for anything and she would never hesitate to help out wherever she could, even for someone she just met. Charity never saw anyone as a stranger, she didn’t judge, she wasn’t quick to anger and she never hesitated to show others true grace and love. She was a light in this dark world and that legacy will live on in the life of everyone she met. Remaining to cherish Charity’s memory are children and spouses, Haley and Chaise, Kayla and Kaden, Gregory and Emily, and Preston and Britney; grandchildren, Karson, Kimber, Waylon, Paisley, Kai, Jolene, Selena, Selah, Wyatt, Creed and Adalida; father, Michael; mother, Susan; brothers/sisters and spouses, Rachael and Eric, Christen, Josh and Dana, and Patrick, plus many nieces and nephews. Preceding Charity in death are her loving husband, Greg and many others. Charity’s life will be celebrated at 1PM, Monday, August 10, 2026 at Oldham Memorial Baptist Church with Pastor Glen Little officiating.
