Christopher I. Garcia

Christopher Ivan “Rooster” Garcia, 36, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away on August 23, 2024. He was born on July 27, 1988 to Virginia Ann (Giambelluca) Fisher in Miami, Florida. He graduated from Warner High School. Chris began his military service with enlistment in the Oklahoma Army National Guard on March 31, 2006 as a Heavy Vehicle Driver. During his career he served in the 1220th EN CO and B/545 BEB. His deployments include Afghanistan in April-December in 2013, and Iraq and Kuwait in August of 2017 - April of 2018. In 2021, Chris mobilized in support of Operation Capitol Response II and later in support of JTF-LA Ida Response. His current army unit is the 2120th ECV out of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Over the years, Chris worked at Thunder Bird Academy, Morgan’s Towing, Dal-Tile and APAC. He was part of the Keefeton Volunteer Fire Department, and currently the Wildland Fire Program at Camp Gruber-Task Force Fire Hawk. Chris loved riding motorcycles and was a member of the Guard Dog, CalleJeros, Insane Riders, Bushido, and Loco ViaJeros. He enjoyed going hunting, fishing and bow fishing and playing paintball. Chris loved spending time with his family and friends. He touched the lives of numerous people over the years and will never be forgotten. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, David Atkinson. Chris is survived by his mom and dad, Jeff and Viriginia Fisher of Keefeton, OK; his brother, Jacob Fisher and wife Carey and nephew Colt of Muskogee, OK; grandmothers, Jenniffer Iodice of Keefeton, OK, and Ann Randall of Drumright, OK; grandfather, Vincent Charles Giambelluca of Mount Dora, FL; daughters, Alisa and Elizabeth Huber of Argyle, TX; his old lady, Brittany and Aiden Roark of Muskogee, OK; uncles and aunts, Jerry and Sherry Fisher, Jason Fisher, David and Lori Loy, Jamie and Dawn Fisher, Scott and Bridget Swiech, Joanna Summerlin, Ronnie and Kenny Brown, Sarah and Donnie James; and numerous cousins and friends. A celebration of Chirstopher’s life will be 3PM, Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at Muskogee Civic Center with Pastor Danny Barks officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Shelton, Wesley Nelson, Coleman Farr and Red Cohen.
