David "Harold" Stark

David “Harold” Stark, 67 a lifetime resident of Muskogee, passed away Friday, March 13, 2015, with his family by his side. Harold was born April 10, 1947 to David and Martha (Day) Stark. He grew up and attended Hyde Park Baptist Church and Muskogee Public Schools and graduated from Central High School with the class of 1965. Shortly after high school, Harold enlisted and served in the United States Army Reserves from which he later received an Honorable Discharge. Harold also attended Bacone College from which he earned an Associate’s Degree. During high school, Harold began dating Cheryl Faye Havens. They quickly became high school sweethearts and were later married on December 9, 1967 in Wagoner, Oklahoma. Harold and Cheryl enjoyed almost 48 years of marriage together. Harold’s professional career was with ACME Engineering where he was a Fabricator. His employment with ACME spanned over 47 years. Bowling and golfing were Harold’s favorite pastimes. He excelled at both of these sports, winning many titles and tournaments over the years. His family also recalls how much he loved OU Football. Harold was a family man and loved his family very much. Cheryl recalls how much he enjoyed playing cards with his family. He is also remembered for being a very loyal husband, father, grandfather and brother. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He will truly be missed. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his brother, Gerald Stark. Harold is survived by his wife, Cheryl of the home; his daughters, Angela Satterfield and her husband Bruce of Muskogee, April Roberts and her husband Justin of Muskogee; his grandchildren, Colin and Dayli Satterfield, Mayci and Mya Roberts all of Muskogee; his great grandchildren, Ryder and Carter Satterfield of Muskogee; his sisters, Glenda Nickel of Park Hill and Carolyn Kaiser of Muskogee, his brother-in-law Charles Kaiser of Muskogee; numerous other family members and friends. A celebration of Harold’s life will be Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Southeast Baptist Church with Brother Gene Sanders officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Colin Satterfield, Bruce Satterfield, Justin Roberts, Charles Kaiser, Bill Alexander, and Larry Hammack. Interment will be in Greenhill Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Stark, Tony Stark, Dwaine Stark, Ron Buck, Mitchell Kaiser, Mike Kaiser, Kenneth Underwood, and Alan Anderson.
