Debby Kingston Bohanon

Debby “Nonnie” Kingston Bohanon, 65, of Tulsa, OK passed away Friday, September 2, 2016. She was born September 1, 1951 to Leroy and Lola (Eubanks) Kingston. Debby spent most of her life in Muskogee, Oklahoma and graduated from Central High School with the class of 1969. She worked in banking for over 25 years and as a bail bondsman before retiring. Debby enjoyed doing crafts, reading, music and most of all attending activities for her grandchildren. She seldom missed a ballgame where her daughters were cheering. Debby had a gift for loving children. Her door was never locked and had an open invitation to any child who wanted to visit or needed a place to stay. She always referred to them as “Her Kids”. It is countless of how many children’s lives she touched through the years with her kindness and gentle nature. Debby always insisted on making happy memories that would live on forever. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life, and her brother was her “Hero”. Debby was preceded in death by her parents; a sister; special aunt, Georgia Brown; many aunts and uncles; and her daughter, Melanie Tiger. She is survived by her son, Lance Bohanon of Muskogee, OK; daughters, Noel Bohanon and husband Jason Jones of Muskogee, OK, and Logan Bohanon of Dallas, TX; daughter-in-law, Sonya Bohanon of Wainwright, OK; brother, Phil Kingston of Tulsa, OK; two “borrowed” sons and one daughter, Jay Stroble, Jamie Rappe, Dolly Cowles Trickey; her grandchildren, Dyllon Bohanon, Gavin and Garrett Bohanon, Grant Jones, and Lindsey Garner all of Muskogee, OK; her “girls”, Shiloh, Magen, Katie, Lauren, Amber, and Julee; and many special cousins, other family members, and friends. The family would like to thank C.I.M.A. Hospice for the special care they gave Debby. Also, they would like to give a special thank you to the Ross family and Jennifer Bray. A celebration of Debby’s life will be 12:00 P.M. Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Timothy Baptist Church with Jason Snyder officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Paris, Ryan Brantley, Jamie Rappe, Ken Wright, Cody Ross, Jason Jones, Jack Brantley, J.C. Wallace, John Greb, Alan Ross, Steve James, Gary Jones, and Jay Stroble.
