Don Craig Frisby

Don Craig Frisby, 70, of Muskogee, Oklahoma went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 20, 2023. He was born on June 13, 1953 to John Thurman Frisby and Francis “Wanda” (Wilhelm) Frisby in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Don graduated from Muskogee Central High School with the class of 1971. Don married the love of his life, Nancy Ann Smith, and they spent over 45 years together creating a life, family and many memories. Don retired from OG&E as an auxiliary operator after over 30 years of service. Don was a longtime member and deacon of Grandview Baptist Church. He was a devoted Christian and witness for God. He was a major fan and supporter of Hilldale. Don was a diehard OU fan-football, softball and baseball. He was so proud of all three of his kids playing college sports and enjoyed traveling all over to watch them play baseball and softball. Don thoroughly enjoyed watching granddaughters play sports as well. He was his own weather watcher and for anyone around. He would say, “Follow me to get away from a storm.” He was an avid bird hunter that did not miss often. Don was a people person and never met a stranger. He loved his family very much and will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him. Don was preceded in death by his parents, John and Wanda Frisby; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Elsie Smith. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Frisby of the home; his children, Nathan Frisby and wife Andrea of Muskogee, OK, Marissa Beverage and Jarrod Mullen of Muskogee, OK, and John Frisby and wife Ashton of Muskogee, OK; grandchildren, Lilly Beverage, Mavery Beverage, Tatum Frisby, Tenley Johnson, and Paisley Roberts all of Muskogee, OK; brother, Mike Frisby (Mickey) and wife Thea and their children Christiaan and Lauren; uncle and aunt, Butch and Doyce Wilhelm; and huge extended family members and lots of close friends. In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorials be made to Grandview Baptist Church at 3608 S Cherokee Dr, Muskogee, OK 74403. A celebration of Don’s life will be 10AM, Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at Grandview Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Mills, Rev. Jay McAlister and Rev. Steve Hanchet officiating. Interment will follow at Three Rivers Cemetery in Okay with Phil Biffle, Gregg Webb, Rick Carbone, Tommy Delmedico, Fred Kiser and Mark Foreman serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Donald Smith.
