Donna Marie Laymon

Donna Marie Laymon, 77, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. Donna was born on October 19, 1948, in Butler, Oklahoma, and made her home in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma Baptist University and was respected for her dedication, leadership, and compassionate spirit. Donna devoted much of her career to the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, serving as a Warden before retiring in 2015. On September 8, 1995, Donna married Bobby Gene Laymon, in Lampasas, Texas. Together they shared a life filled with love, laughter, and treasured memories. Donna found joy in life’s simple blessings. She loved crocheting, traveling, spending time with her family, and cooking for family gatherings. She had a special place in her heart for her beloved fur babies Tiny, Ladybug, and Buddy, who brought her endless companionship and happiness. Donna leaves behind her devoted husband, Bobby Gene Laymon; her children, Michael Zatorski of Howard, KS, Nancy King of Buffalo, OK, and Don Johnson and wife Callie of Muskogee, OK; grandchildren, Christina Campbell (Randy) of Fort Gibson, OK, DeWayne Jump of El Reno, OK, Melony Drew (Jarrid) of Buffalo, OK, Georgi McAnelly (Jake) of Muskogee, OK Samuel Johnson of Tulsa, OK, Douglas Weeks (Sarah) of Mobile, AL; great-grandchildren, Dillon Archer, Jacob Clinton, Whyatt Drew, Kinzlee Drew, Haley Drew, Isabella and Artemis McAnelly, Christopher Sampley and Tyler Sampley; siblings, David (Sharon) Withers, Ronnie (Charmy) Withers, Kate Withers all of Lampasses, TX, Tommy Withers of Corpus Christi, TX, and Charlene Withers of Texas; along with many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Earl Dean Withers and Gladys Marie Withers; stepmother, Jean Withers; her brother, Jean Withers; brothers Sam Withers and Bill Withers; and her daughter-in-law, Karen Zatorski.
