Emma Marie Whittiker

Emma Marie Whittiker was born on June 14, 1932, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, to Lincoln and Ida Aubury. She peacefully ended her earthly journey on August 8, 2026, surrounded by her children and family. Grandma grew up in Tahlequah and attended school through the eighth grade. She married at the young age of 16 and soon began raising a family. Her children are a beautiful testimony to the love, strength, and guidance she gave throughout her life. Times were not always easy, but Grandma provided her children with the unconditional love and comfort that only a momma can give. In 1962, Grandma accepted Jesus as her Savior and was baptized at Meadowbrook Baptist Church. Her faith was an important part of her life and legacy. Grandma worked at Waldorf and York Manor as a server in the kitchen. She treated everyone she met with kindness and compassion and took pride in serving others well. She found great joy in caring for her family. Grandma loved to cook and bake for her growing family, filling their home with food, love, and memories. She enjoyed planting flowers and watching them grow. Garage sales and thrifting were another favorite pastime. She often went with her sister, Mae, and treasured the time they spent together. Grandma leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory. She is survived by her son, Jerry Whittiker and wife, Debbie; daughters, Geneva Kaye Beaver and Gail Royse; son, Steve Whittiker; son, Roger Whittiker and wife, Jan; daughter-in-law, Janis Whittiker; nephew, Mike Green; Grandma was blessed with fifty-one grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Mae Green, son, Larry Whittiker; sons-in-law, Tom Beaver and Harold Royse; and granddaughter, Andrea Whittiker. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Carter Hospice workers—JR, Travis, Payton, and Brenda for the love, kindness, and care they provided to Grandma and the family. A very special thank you goes to daughters Gail and Geneva Kaye and granddaughter, Darla Capps, for their extraordinary love, devotion, and care for Grandma over these last four years. Their presence and dedication were a true gift to Grandma and the entire family. Grandma leaves behind a legacy of love that will live on through her children, grandchildren, and all those blessed to have known her. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in the hearts of her family. A celebration of Emma’s life will be 10AM, Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Jaxson Whittiker officiating.
