Eunice Mae Kidd

Eunice Mae (Jackson) Kidd passed away peacefully Friday, August 31, 2018. She was born February 12, 1925 to William Columbus and Ebbie Jane (Hasbell) Jackson in Oklahoma City. She grew up and attended Oklahoma City public schools. On February 1, 1942 she married the love of her life, Littleton Earl Kidd. They shared many years of life and marriage together. They lived in Oklahoma City early in their marriage and also lived in the Lake Tenkiller area and finally making Muskogee their home. She worked outside of the home some, but she always knew her calling was raising her family. She loved to cook and her family knew to be home by 5:00 p.m. because dinner would be ready and they also knew there were cookies in the cookie jar for after school snacks. Her passion was working in her yard and growing beautiful roses. Her favorite hobby was bowling. She was preceded in death by her parents, William C. and Ebbie Jane Jackson; her husband, Littleton Earl Kidd; a son, Earl Allen Kidd; a granddaughter, Elisha; and son-in-law, David Byrd. Eunice is survived by daughter-in-law, Ann Kidd of Prague; children, Sandra Jane Sharp and husband Jim of Oklahoma City, Kenneth Wayne Kidd and wife Jessie of Oklahoma City, Barbara Ann Kidd of Muskogee, Beverly Jean Byrd of Muskogee, Terry Bruce Kidd of Oklahoma City, and Gary Michael Kidd of Muskogee; her sister, Patsy of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Jeffrey Kidd(Melonie), Angela Wais(Dan), Eddie Woods(Dana), Billie Woods(Tina), Kenneth Woods(Vnay), Karla Smith(Kevin), Kevin Kidd(Shandi), Kendra Miller(Jeff), Crystal Byrd(Ryan), Alexis Byrd, Michael Cordell(LeeAnn) and Savona Kidd; 35 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren; numerous other family members and friends. Her family would like to say a special word of thanks to Hometown Hospice for the loving care they extended to Eunice. Their kindness will always be appreciated. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home. A celebration of Eunice’s life will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday September 6, 2018 at Grandview Baptist Church with Pastor Danny Mills officiating. Interment will be at 3:00 p.m. in Resthaven Memory Gardens in Oklahoma City with Michael Cordell, Billie Woods, Eddie Woods, Kenneth Allen Woods, Kevin Wayne Kidd, and Jeffrey Allen Kidd serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Keving Dale Smith and Jeffrey Miller.
