Gary Dean Andrews

Gary Dean Andrews crossed the finish line to his eternal Heavenly home on Sunday morning, May 3, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was a lifelong resident of Muskogee, Oklahoma, born to Glen Dean and Myrtle Irene (Nolen) Andrews. Gary attended Muskogee public schools and graduated from Muskogee High School in 1973. On April 19, 1973, Gary married his soulmate, Suzy Jane Thompson, in Wagoner, Oklahoma. Together, they built a life filled with love, devotion, memories, and raising their family. Gary dedicated many years as the body shop manager, earning the respect and admiration of coworkers and customers alike, until his well-deserved retirement. Beyond his work, Gary was a passionate outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the thrill of dirt track racing. Whether casting a line, tracking game, or driving at the racetrack, he found joy in every adventure. Gary also loved working with his cows and enjoyed helping his neighbors with their cattle and bailing hay with them. Gary's legacy lives on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who knew him. He will be remembered for his unwavering devotion, warm spirit, and zest for life. Gary Dean Andrews leaves behind cherished memories and a lasting impact on the Muskogee community. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Myrtle Andrews; and his brother, Ray Rainey. Gary is survived by his loving wife, Suzy of the home; son, Gary Ray Andrews and wife Jennifer of Wagoner; daughters, Angela Smallen and husband Randy of Broken Arrow, Reagan Girty and husband Tanner of Muskogee; granddaughters, Hunter Andrews, Laine Andrews, Kelli Smallen, Katie Smallen, Tymber Girty, Avery Girty, Andi Girty, Dawson Martin, Journie Martin, and Austine Skupien; niece, Ranae Bumgarner and husband Chuck; nephew, Greg Rainey and wife Laura; great- niece, Jill Jordan and husband Erik; great-nephew, Charley Bumgarner; sister-in-law, Debbie Rainey; along with numerous family in Arkansas, other family members, and many friends. The family will receive friends from 2-4PM, Sunday, May 10, 2026 at Cornerstone Funeral Home. Gary’s life will be celebrated at 1PM, Monday, May 11, 2026 at Immanuel Baptist Church with Pastor David Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery with Jonathan Parrish, Heath Weston, Dustin Leatherman, Jason Leatherman, Virgil Weston, and Danny Murphy serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Leatherman, Kenny Holdridge, and Matt Weston.
