Helen Elizabeth Coppock

Helen Elizabeth (Cullen) Coppock, 95, of Muskogee, Oklahoma went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 8, 2024. She was born on March 10, 1929 to James Tracy Cullen and Mary Agnes (Humm) Cullen in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She was one of twelve children in the Cullen family. Helen attended Oktaha Public Schools graduating with the class of 1947. She married James Coppock on February 20, 1950 in Muskogee. They shared more than 56 years together until James passed in 2007. She started their family in 1951 with the birth of her first child and continued to have seven children. Helen was a homemaker and enjoyed raising her children. Helen was an avid reader and enjoyed a good mystery. She enjoyed sewing for her family and was an accomplished seamstress. In later years, she started making quilts for all her family members. She enjoyed camping and socializing at the lake with other family members at the campground. She took camping vacations traveling coast to coast. She enjoyed gardening and canned many of her vegetables. In 1971, she had the opportunity to live in France for two months while her husband was working there. Helen was an active member of the Altar Society and was involved with other church and Catholic school activities. She was a volunteer at Catholic Charities for many years. She was an avid bowler for over 30 years and finally retired from bowling at the age of 89. She traveled to many bowling tournaments in Wisconsin, Kansas, Missouri and Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mary Cullen; her husband, James Coppock; her daughters, Debbie Hix and Diane Coppock; and grandson, Kevin Barth. Helen is survived by her children, Teresa Martin of Broken Arrow, Larry Coppock and wife Cathy of Claremore, Janice Barth and husband Tom of Broken Arrow, Tim Coppock of Broken Arrow, Gina Coppock and Mark Baker of Sallisaw; grandchildren, Christi Tran, Brent Coppock, Jessica Colbert, Brad Martin, Missy Martin, Brian Barth, Alex Coppock, Michael Coppock, Sean Coppock, and Harley Heidelberg; great-grandchildren, Brianna Martin, Emma Elizabeth Noe, Addison Plunket, Connor Martin, Kyler Coppock, Selah Coppock, Ayden Coppock, Kennedy Colbert, and Bella Colbert; one sister, Rebecca Harding of Wagoner; along with other family members. The family will receive friends from 5-7PM, Friday, October 11, 2024 at Cornerstone Funeral Home. Helen’s life will be celebrated at 2PM, Saturday, October 12, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Richard F. Cristler celebrant. Interment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Alex Coppock, Brent Coppock, Michael Coppock, Brad Martin, Harley Heidelberg, and Thomas Tran. Honorary pallbearer will be Brian Barth.
