James Stephen "Bo" Eastwood

James Stephen “Bo” Eastwood, age 76, of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 4, 2026. Born on July 15, 1949, in Claremore, Oklahoma, James was the cherished son of Willard and Roberta Ann (Jones) Eastwood. He attended public schools and graduated from Nowata High School, where he began forming lifelong friendships and memories. He also furthered his education by attending OSU Okmulgee Technical School obtaining an associates degree. On June 14, 1969, James married the love of his life, Emma Dick. Their bond spanned more than 56 wonderful years, filled with joy, laughter, and unwavering devotion. Together, they built a loving home and raised a family rooted in kindness and humor. James dedicated many years of service to OG&E, ultimately retiring in 2006 as a technical engineer supervisor. He was known for his strong work ethic and professionalism, earning the respect of colleagues and friends alike. A gifted musician from childhood, James began playing the guitar at the young age of five. He possessed the remarkable ability to hear a song and play it effortlessly, sharing his talent with friends and family. His passion for music brought people together and filled countless gatherings with warmth and joy. James also loved to play golf, hunt, and fish, embracing the outdoors, riding his motorcycle, and savoring the simple pleasures of life. He enjoyed every moment spent with his loved ones, always quick with a witty remark or a story that made everyone laugh and smile. He will forever be remembered for his kind heart, infectious laughter, his warm smile, and the joy he spread through his music. James leaves behind a legacy of love, friendship, and unforgettable memories. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. If you knew him, you loved him! He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Roberta Eastwood; siblings, Frankie Eastwood, Kathy Clasby, and Betty Eastwood; and his niece, Charity Clasby. James is survived by his loving wife, Emma; daughters, Rhonda Eastwood of Muskogee, Stephanie Robison and husband Tony of Fort Gibson; grandchildren, Destanie Yarnell and husband Nic, Dakota Robison and wife Breyale, Dawson Robison, Mycah Eastwood and fiancé Holly Zapata, and Noah Eastwood; great-grandchildren, AhKiyah Eastwood, Konner Eastwood, Judah Dennis, Laykin Robison, Alaya Robison, and Annalia Robison; along with other family members and friends. The family will greet friends from 4-6PM, Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at Cornerstone Funeral Home. Funeral services celebrating James’ life will be at 10:30AM, Thursday, April 9, 2026 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Daniel Blankenship officiating. Interment will follow at Citizens Cemetery in Fort Gibson with Tony Robison, Nic Yarnell, Dakota Robison, Dawson Robison, Mycah Eastwood, and Noah Eastwood serving as pallbearers.
