Jared Thomas Miller

Jared Thomas Miller, age 46, of Muskogee, Oklahoma, passed away on November 13, 2025. Jared was born on October 23, 1979, in Fremont, California, the beloved son of Thomas R. Miller and Lynette S. (Braley) Miller. Jared was a proud high school graduate and went on to earn his associate degree, a testament to his commitment to personal growth and education. He answered the call of duty and served his country honorably in the United States Army during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom, where he demonstrated courage and dedication. Jared completed his service with an honorable discharge, always carrying deep respect for his fellow soldiers and country. On August 10, 2004, in Mobile, Alabama, Jared married the love of his life, Tonya Rae Wills. Together, they shared 21 beautiful years of life, marriage, and family. Jared’s devotion to Tonya and his family was evident in every aspect of his life, and he will be remembered for the love, kindness, and laughter he brought to those around him. Jared’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be dearly missed, forever cherished, and lovingly remembered. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marvin F. Braley, Thomas William Miller and Joyce P. Braley. Jared is survived by his wife, Tonya Rae Miller; his children, Kayla A. Owens, Mykaliah R. Overmyer, Emily E. Miller, Xavier C. Miller, Christopher D. Turner; his father, Thomas R. Miller; mother, Lynette S. Miller; grandparents, Janet Marie Miller; siblings, Brent M. Miller, Tarinna L. Miller; grandchildren, Lilyane E. Owens, Trinity M. Owens, Sammy T. Owens, Liam J. Burgess, and Keegan T. Turner; and many other family members and friends. In lieu of flowers Jared’s family request memorials be made to the Muskogee Animal Shelter at: Animal Shelter, 4002 Border Ave Muskogee OK 74401, and/or Fur Babies Adoption and Rescue at: http://www.furbabiesadoptions.org. A celebration of Jared’s life will be 9:30AM, Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with MSG Jeremie Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Gibson National Cemetery with military honors presented.
