Karla Kay Fain

Karla Kay Fain, 64, of Muskogee, Oklahoma went to her Heavenly Home on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was born on February 26, 1960 to Floyd Ernest Ervin and Juanita V. (Holder) Ervin in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She graduated from Muskogee High School with the class of 1978. Karla married the love of her life, Mark Lee Fain, on January 16, 1988 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. They shared over 36 years of life, marriage, family and memories together. She was a faithful member of Timothy Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir, working in the nursery, children’s church and Bible school. Karla was an avid fan of softball and football. She loved going on car rides, especially for a banana snow cone. Karla thoroughly enjoyed pranks and never missed an opportunity. She loved her family very much and enjoyed spending time with them. Karla will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and aunt to many. She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Juanita Ervin; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Buster and Mildred Fain; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Karla is survived by her husband Mark Fain of the home; son, John Lowrimore of Muskogee, OK; brother, Dexter and Carroll Payne of Muskogee, OK; brother-in-law, Dwayne and Lesley Fain of Park Hill, OK; nephews and nieces, Kenny and Stephanie Payne of Muskogee, OK, Kelly and Joy Payne of Muskogee, OK, Kyle and Mariah Briggs of Muskogee, OK, Krystal Briggs of Tahlequah, OK, Karson Fain of Tahlequah, OK, Kohl Fain of Park Hill, OK, and Carl Robbins of Park Hill, OK; she was a great-aunt and great-great-aunt to many; and numerous cousins and friends. The family will receive friends 4PM-6PM, Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at Cornerstone Funeral Home. A celebration of Karla’s life will be 11AM, Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at Timothy Baptist Church with Pastor Kelly Payne officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery with Clay Payne, Kyle Briggs, Tate Payne, Karson Fain, Kohl Fain and Carl Robbins serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Rodger Lefler, Marty Battenfield, Charlie Acree, Ike Payne, Roman Payne and Anthony Jones.
