Mary M. Davis

Mary “Tooter” Davis, age 93, a lifelong resident of Brewers Bend, peacefully passed away at her home on July 11, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born on January 30, 1932, the daughter of James and Odessa Tadlock. She shared her life and love with her soulmate and husband, Charley Davis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charley Davis; daughter, Kathy A. Webb; son, Jim “Coon” Davis; grandsons, Lonnie Webb and Monzell “Pee Wee” Coppin; and siblings, Shirley Gibson, Otis, John, & Fred Kirby, Gladys Eddy, Edna Mudd, and Menny Thomas; and stepfather, Owen Moore. She is survived by her children, Brent Davis of Webbers Falls, Gayle Coppin of Webbers Falls, Albert Davis of Webbers Falls; grandchildren, Brent Wade Davis, Alaska Howard, Shalin Coppin, Julie Coppin, Terri Davis, Sherri Clay, Kerri Davis, Trannen Davis (wife Andrea), Levi Davis, Misty Webb; great-grandchildren: 27 in total, including Tommy Coppin, Austin Cauthron; 6 great-great-grandchildren. Mary is also survived by her sisters, Betty Jean DeWall and Olena Blackwell; and her brother, Dwight “OD” Moore; and nephews, Bradley Moore, Greg Briley, and Blaine Aldridge, along with a host of beloved family and friends. Mary was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who poured her heart into her home and community. She worked her farm for many years, producing fruits and vegetables to sell at farmers markets and to help feed her family. A true hard worker, she also enjoyed hunting for arrowheads along the river, crafting clay dolls and baskets from her own land, and creating beautiful items from gourds she had grown. Mary was resourceful and incredibly talented, but most of all, she found peace and joy sitting on her porch in her rocking chair, taking in the beauty of nature. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her. A graveside service for Mary will be at 2PM, Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at McLain Cemetery with Rev. Cardell Coppin officiating. Pallbearers will be Tommy Coppin, Trannen Davis, Shalyn Coppin, Brad Carter, Jaden Thierry, Bobby Herriman, and Bradley Moore. Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Stanley and Blaze Herriman.
