Pamela "Joyce" Baker

Pamela “Joyce” Baker, 68, of Warner, Oklahoma passed away on Monday, November 6, 2023. She was born on March 6, 1955 to Jasper Rowland and Beulah Mae (Smith) Rowland in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Joyce went to school at Eufaula and then Warner High School her senior year. She married, Aaron Alvin Baker, Jr. on January 24, 1975 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They shared many years of life, marriage and family together. Joyce worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a mail clerk until her retirement in 2019. She enjoyed going to Bunco every month with a great group of ladies. She also enjoyed her Paparazzi Jewelry. Joyce loved flowers and watching the hummingbirds. Christmas was her favorite time of the year and inspired her year-round holiday tree. Her greatest love was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron Alvin Baker, Jr.; parents, Jasper and Beulah Rowland; her siblings, Donald Rowland, Norma Haughey, Kenneth Rowland, Margaret Causby, Ruthie Wigginton, Helen “Pug” Ritchie, and Barbara Brown. Joyce is survived by her children, Jennifer Hymer and husband Jeff of Warner, OK, Christopher Baker and wife Traci of Broken Arrow, OK; grandchildren, Anthony Davies and wife Kylee of Warner, OK, Adrianna Hymer of Warner, OK, Mollie Werdeman of Broken Arrow, OK, Aiden Baker of Broken Arrow, OK and Lucy Baker of Broken Arrow, OK; great-grandchildren, Ariel Davies of Warner, OK, Delilah Davies of Warner, OK, and Ivy Davies of Warner, OK; siblings, Jasper Rowland and wife Linda of Coweta, OK, Melvin Rowland of Muskogee, OK, Deborah Williams of McAlester, OK, Jimmy Rowland and wife Carmel of Las Vegas, NV and Darrell Rowland of Muskogee, OK; multiple nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. A celebration of Joyce’s life will be 2PM, Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at Warner First Baptist Church with Pastor Guy Pebbles officiating. Interment will follow at Warner Memorial Cemetery with Chuck Smithson, Lonnie Haughey, Jr., Ron Causby, Bryan Haughey, Josh Haughey and Tim Smithson serving as pallbearers.
