Robert L. Bell

Robert Louis Bell, age 88, passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2025. Born May 24, 1936, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, he was the beloved son of Louis Butler Bell and Opal (Wilmoth) Bell. Robert attended public schools and graduated from Central High School in Oklahoma City with the class of 1954. He went on to attend Oklahoma City University, graduating in 1958, and received a master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Oklahoma in 1960. On August 31, 1962, Robert married the love of his life, Lillian Louise Lofgren, in Oklahoma City. Their union was a testament to love and partnership. Robert worked for the Social Security Administration as the manager. He retired in 1995 with more than 30 years of service. Since 1973, Robert was a devoted member and deacon at the First Baptist Church in Muskogee, where he also served as the church pianist for over 30 years. His passion for music was evident, and he brought joy to many through his talent. Robert's hobbies included acting in plays at the Muskogee Little Theatre, attending operas and classical music concerts, playing the piano, and spending cherished moments with his family and beloved grandchildren. Robert will be remembered for his unwavering faith, his musical talents, and the love and laughter he shared with those around him. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Opal Bell; his wife, Louise Bell; and his son, Greg Bell. Robert is survived by his son, Roger Bell and wife Tammy of Muskogee; daughter-in-law, Rebecca Bell of Meeker; grandchildren, Rachel Holley and husband Zachery, Hayley Bell, Russell Bell, and Trace Bell; great-granddaughter, Mia Holley; along with many friends who will miss him dearly. The family will greet friends from 3-5PM, Sunday, April 20, 2025 at Cornerstone Funeral Home. Robert's life will be celebrated at 10AM on Monday, April 21, 2025, at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Bowman officiating. Interment will follow at 3PM at Rose Hill Cemetery in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma with Pastor Jim Wininger officiating.
