Robert Benjamin Stewart

Robert Benjamin Stewart, 43, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away Friday, May 21, 2021. He was born October 18, 1977 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Dana Stewart and Lora Davis Trollinger. He attended school at Edison, Franklin, Cherokee, Pershing, West Jr. High School, and graduated in 1996 from Muskogee High School. Robert furthered his education at Northeastern State University obtaining a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management. In February 2002, Robert began in his 18-year career with Farmers Insurance owning his own agency. He served as the membership director of UFAA (United Farmer’s Agents Association). He started working for the Veterans Administration in October, 2020. He married Sarah Ann Tarkington May on January 9, 2015 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. They shared more than 6 years of life and marriage together. He was the lead singer of British Invasion of Tulsa and Let’s Zeppelin: A Tribute of Tulsa. He was also the Commissioner of Smash Mouth fantasy football league. Robert loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Al and Joyce Davis and John Melton Sr; and uncle, Chris Davis. Robert is survived by his wife, Sarah; son, Ryken May; daughter, Riordan Stewart, both of the home; son, Kade May of Muskogee; daughter, Adrian Stewart of Muskogee; mother, Lora Trollinger and husband Lari of Wanette; father, Dana Stewart; in-laws, Paula and John Tarkington, all of Muskogee; grandmother, Lynda Melton of Weatherford, TX; grandmother-in-law, Beverly Porter of Muskogee; sister, Mary Barnett of Tulsa, OK; brother, Jerry Stewart of Connecticut; uncle, Benny Davis of Ft Gibson, OK; along with numerous nieces, nephews, many loving family members and close friends. Funeral services celebrating Robert’s life will be 2PM, Friday, May 28, 2021 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Patrick McPherson officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery with Rocky Battenfield, Jarrod Fry, Michael (Jay) Robinson, Jeff McCurley, Scott Wright, and Eddie Shook serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Benny Davis, Mike Daniels, Roy McElmurry, Matt Molton, Matt Madewell, Jeremy Garrett, Kristian Rowan, John Singler, Leonard Stevens, and Shane Parris.
