Rosa Nell Cavin

Rosa Nell Cavin, age 87, a cherished lifetime resident of Muskogee, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 10, 2026, surrounded in love by her family. Born on August 29, 1938, to Uless and Margie (Roden) Wicks, Rosa lived a life marked by dedication to family, faith, and community. A proud high school graduate, Rosa married her beloved husband, Billy Dow Cavin, on September 6, 1958, in Muskogee. Together, Bill and Rosa cultivated a legacy of entrepreneurship and service, owning and operating Bill’s Honda Village for many years. Their partnership extended beyond business, as they were devoted members of Chandler Road Church of Christ, where Rosa found purpose and joy as the director of the Golden Agers Group. She and Bill attended the church faithfully, building lasting friendships and uplifting the lives of others through their kindness and leadership. Rosa’s work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit were evident throughout her life. She owned and operated two restaurants in Porter and Okay, Oklahoma, providing delicious meals and warm hospitality to her community. Later, she worked alongside her daughter, Mary, in a cleaning business, and held various retail positions in Muskogee, always bringing a smile and caring touch to those she served. In her leisure time, Rosa embraced the simple joys that made life meaningful. She was an avid baker, seamstress, and crocheter, delighting family and friends with her creations. Rosa loved attending yard sales with her girls, shopping, and was always on the hunt for a good bargain. Family gatherings were her greatest pleasure, as she treasured every moment spent loving and nurturing her family, whose lives were enriched by her warmth and generosity. Rosa Nell Cavin will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to her loved ones, her steadfast faith, and her remarkable ability to touch the lives of all who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family, friends, and the Muskogee community she called home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Cavin; daughter, Mary Sharp; parents, Uless and Margie Wicks; brother, James Wicks; grandson, Thomas Judkins; and great-grandsons, Calum Block, Michael Lowrimore, and Dustin Robinson. Rosa is survived by her daughters, Nancy and Randy Ellwood of Windom, Kansas, Peggy and Darren Judkins of Muskogee; son, Larry and Tamara Cavin of Muskogee; brothers, Bobby and Delana Wicks, Billy Wicks, all of Muskogee, and Jackie and Donna Wicks of Braggs; grandchildren, Derek and Megan Ellwood, David Estep, Leslie and Tristan Block, Jenna and Steve Adams, Callie and Justin Newman, Justin Robinson, Lana Robinson, Kelsi Wade, Mikayla Lowrimore, Marlie Lowrimore, Jalie Robinson, Daeya Moses, and Kardin Robinson; great-grandchildren, Mikah and Jessica Lowrimore, Kannon Robinson, Tayden Robinson, Maddox Lowrimore, Burr Jaynes, Rider Robinson, and Landon Robinson, Addyson and Brecklyn Ellwood, Isla, Andrew, and Rory Block, Kamdyn and Acelee Adams; great-great-grandchildren, Mi’Lani and Mi’Layah Porter, Brenton McCormick, and Michael Lowrimore II “Chunk”; along with many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Rosa’s life will be celebrated at 10AM, Friday, January 16, 2026 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Tristan Block officiating. Interment will follow at South Bethel Cemetery in Braggs, Oklahoma with Derek Ellwood, David Estep, Steve Adams, Justin Newman, Darren Judkins, and Randy Ellwood serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Wicks, Billy Wicks, and Jackie Wicks.
