Scott D. Biggs

Scott Dwayne Biggs was born on October 23, 1970 to Larry and Dorothy Biggs. He had an older sister Kristie and a younger brother Tony. Scotty spent the majority of his childhood growing up in Boynton, OK where he graduated high school and was the point guard for the 1988 State Champion Boynton Cardinals. Scotty met and fell in love with his high school sweetheart and forever best friend Christy Spradling. They were married on January 6, 1990 and would have been married for 31 years this January. They faced several trials in their relationship but God always brought them through stronger and more in love than ever before. They were blessed with two beautiful daughters, Ashley and Brandi. These girls were Scotty’s world! He worked several jobs including delivering sheetrock, driving for a food distributor and most recently he drove a tanker truck. Scotty loved being outside and taking care of people, so it is no surprise that his favorite occupation was owning and operating his lawncare/landscape business. He loved the outdoor work but more than that he loved interacting with his customers, some of which became lifelong friends. Scotty was probably one of the hardest working men you’ll ever meet but if you ask anyone who really knew him what was important to Scotty, they would say his family! Family was everything to him. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He did not think he would ever love anything the way he loved his girls but Brandi married Taylor Hignite and they gave him two precious grandsons, Eli and Carter. These boys stole his heart and there was not anything he wouldn’t do for them. His life was forever changed by these ornery boys! Scotty loved the Lord with all his heart. He was not perfect but he tried to live a life pleasing to the Lord. He tried to help people with the many struggles in life but wanted to make sure they knew how to call upon God for real hope & salvation. He was loving, he was kind, he was funny and to say he will be greatly missed is an understatement! Scotty was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Ashley; his mother and father, Dorothy and Larry Biggs; his brother, Tony; sister, Kristie; his maternal grandmother, Faye Massingale; and his brother-in-law, Sam Spradling. He is survived by his wife, Christy; daughter, Brandi and husband Taylor Hignite; grandsons, Eli, Carter and baby boy #3 (to arrive in June); his father and mother-in law, Sam and Vicky Spradling; his grandparents, Rusty and Marge Shipley; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends.
