Steven "Steve" C. Aich

Steven Christopher Aich was born on October 11, 1971 in Ozark, Arkansas and departed this life on March 24, 2021 at the age of 49. He was surrounded by his loving family who will be forever grateful for his presence in their lives. Steve was a lifelong resident of Muskogee, OK and attended school at Hilldale Public Schools. He will be laid to rest at Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Altus, Arkansas. Steve was such a vibrant person, so full of energy. He loved to be outdoors, whether riding four wheelers or working in the shop. He could always be counted on to show up for anyone who called on him with a problem. Many times he would stop what he was doing to help out a stranger with food, a ride, or whatever they needed. He was not afraid of anything. In his kids’ eyes, he was the biggest, strongest, best dad they could have ever asked for. His parents are extremely proud of him. Steve came from the best family anyone could want. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Leo E. Aich Sr.; and his maternal grandparents, Edna and Harold Smith. They showed him so much love growing up and they are with him now. Also awaiting his arrival in heaven are his aunt Martha Watson and uncles Phillip Smith, Rick Aich and Chuck Aich, whom he will be spending eternity with. Steve has two wonderful children, Aaron Aich and Ashley Aich Lively. Ashley and husband Tanner Lively have two beautiful daughters and one son, Arielle, Abigail, and Andy Lively. He is also survived by his parents, Connie and Leo E. Aich Jr.; brother, Leo E. Aich, III; and his nieces and nephew, Krysta Aich, Kortney Aich and fiance Dakota Noe, and Kolton Aich. Steve’s great nieces and nephews are Raygen, Rhyeese, Rhyley, Ethan, Aiden, and Baylor. He has too many aunts, uncles and cousins to list, but he loved each and every one of them tremendously. From birth, Steve had trucking and mechanics in his blood. He grew up working in the shop with his dad and brother. He learned how to drive a semi at a very young age, even encouraged by his dad to take the wheel at age 12. When he grew up, he drove a Peterbilt for his dad at Aich Trucking for many years until his dad’s retirement. That was when Steve started his own trucking company, Top Shot Trucking. When he wasn't working, Steve could be found with friends or family having a great time. He loved to take the boat out on the lake. His greatest challenge was trying to throw his kids from the tube behind the boat. His mischievous laugh showed us all how much he enjoyed that challenge, whether it was successful or not. He also liked to go on trail rides, camping trips, motorcycle rides, and four-wheeler riding. Spending Thanksgiving with family in Ozark deer hunting was a highlight of his year. He spent a special week with Ashley, his dad and brother, and uncles when they took a motorcycle ride to Las Vegas. The laughs from that trip will be cherished forever. The week Aaron went with them to the Sturgis Bike Rally will be remembered just as much. Steve was always up for an adventure and never missed a moment to make people laugh. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 31 at 10:00am at Cornerstone Funeral Home. There will be a viewing for family and friends on Tuesday, March 30 from 9:00am to 8:00pm. Interment will follow with a burial service at St. Mary’s Mountain in Altus, Arkansas at 2:00pm where he will be laid to rest with his uncles, Chuck and Rick Aich. Pallbearers will be his son, Aaron Aich; son-in-law, Tanner Lively; uncles, David Aich and Steve Aich; cousin, Jon Watson; friends, Jason Miller, John Talley, and Chris Caro. Honorary pallbearers are nephew, Kolton Aich and uncle, James Aich. Family and friends meant the world to Steve. Please take the time to remember Steve’s life with joy. The sadness will be felt, but the laughs will live on in the memories we hold dear. We will forever carry the memory of Steve in our hearts.
