Wanda Rose Stonebarger

Wanda Rose Stonebarger, 66, passed away surrounded by her loved ones at St Francis Hospital Tulsa. She was born October 16, 1959, in Davenport, Oklahoma, to Bill and Wanda Davis. She was the third of eight children. Wanda attended elementary and junior high school in Davenport and graduated from high school in Muskogee in 1977. If you knew Wanda, you knew she had a heart for people. She was kind, loving, funny, and sometimes just a little bit ornery. She had a spitfire side that could come out when you least expected it, and we wouldn't have wanted her any other way. Wanda loved her family fiercely. As one of eight children, she was part of a family that grew up together, leaned on each other, and made a lifetime of memories. She had a way of looking out for each of her brothers and sisters. At one time or another, she had their backs, stood up for them, encouraged them, or simply showed up when they needed her. Wanda was loyal to her family in a way that never wavered. If you were hers, she was in your corner. That was Wanda. Wanda worked for most of her life at Zapata Industries. She also enjoyed her time as a shipping clerk at Boral Bricks and, most recently, at NFI Industries. In 1981, Wanda married the love of her life, Lanny Stonebarger. Together they raised two sons, Jason and Wesley, and built a life filled with family, laughter, and love. Wanda knew how to have a good time. She loved to gamble, loved traveling, especially to Vegas, and loved going to concerts with her dear friend Linda Lee. Those memories and adventures will always bring a smile. Her greatest legacy isn't in the places she worked or the things she accomplished. It is in the people she loved and the family she leaves behind. Wanda is survived by her husband of the home, Lanny Stonebarger; her sons, Jason Stonebarger and Wesley Stonebarger; and her grandchildren, Austin Cain, Chloe Stonebarger, Carson Stonebarger, and Gannon Stonebarger. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Raymond Davis and wife Dawna, Jesse Davis and wife Cheryl, Ruth Davis, Mary Howard and husband Rex, and Alta Crockett and husband Eric Crockett; her mother-in-law, June Rodgers; and her brother-in-law, Larry Stonebarger and wife Rita, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who loved her dearly. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Wanda Davis; her sister, Billie Davis; and her brother, David Davis. We will remember the sister who protected her siblings, the wife who loved Lanny, the mom who loved Jason and Wesley, and the grandma who loved her grandchildren. Most of all, we will remember how much joy she brought into our lives. Her family will receive friends 6PM-8PM, Thursday, September 10, 2026 at Cornerstone Funeral Home. A celebration of Wanda’s life will be 3PM, Friday, September 11, 2026 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery with Jason Stonebarger, Billy Bowers, Rex Howard, Matthew Howard, Cody McKenzie, and Elye Crockett serving as pallbearers.
